OVERVIEW:
In this role, you will get in at the ground floor of a fast growing startup and lead the development, testing and maintenance of next-generation education technologies. This is a high impact role where you will work across departments and lead teams to drive the development of industry leading products. HIGH-LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all aspects of engineering and development to produce highly reliable, scalable and effective next generation spatial computing products primarily in Unreal Engine
- Oversee development of Axon Park SDKs and partner tools
- Write beautiful, clean code
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or similar technical discipline and 4+ years working in software engineering; OR 8+ years in software engineering without a degree
- Proven track record building and leading teams of engineers in a formal, technical, or project management capacity
- Hands-on with technical implementation and programming
- Professional experience programming in C++
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong experience with 3D, XR and game development, mainly Unreal Engine
- Experience building networked multiplayer experiences, ideally in XR
- Experience with cloud development
- Strong knowledge of physics and math
- Experience delivering robust and scalable software applications
- Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization and unit testing
- Comfortable using and contributing to open source projects
- Strong creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment by quickly adapting to changing needs and requirements
- Excited by the idea of building a startup
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
